Sharon is an educator, having spent most of her time teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. She has also taught Special Ed. Sharon was a Religion Director for a school in the Lafayette Diocese, which planted a seed many years ago to work in adult spirituality. Sharon also has a dance background and has performed and taught liturgical dance and sometimes incorporates her love of movement in retreats. She is presently the Curriculum Director and Special Events Coordinator for her family’s preschool in Lafayette, LA, Fisher Early Childhood Development Center, while directing retreats several times a year and doing Spiritual Direction.
Sharon is married to Shawn O’Neill, they have one son, Ian O’Neill. They reside in Lafayette, LA.
Sharon trained with the Jesuits in Grand Coteau from 2003 to 2005 to become a spiritual director and to direct retreats. She has been directing retreats for the last 20 years. She directs people individually and also directs people in the 19th Annotation in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Sharon has a deep longing to develop her faith and her relationship with God. Spiritual Direction and working retreats has enriched her journey with the Lord.
