Dues may be paid at any point during the fiscal year (7/1-6/30) although membership expires on June 30.

From the BY-LAWS:

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP: Active
Members of the association shall consist of trained spiritual directors who are
currently engaged in the ministry of spiritual direction and pay dues on an
annual basis. The amount of the dues shall be set by a vote of the membership
at the association’s Annual Meeting. Only active members will have voting
privileges in matters of the association. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:
Associate Members of the association shall consist of:

Trained spiritual directors who are retired from active ministry but wish to continue receiving communications from LASD and/or wish to continue attending the Annual LASD Conference.
Persons who are presently in training in a recognized spiritual directors training program and who wish to receive communications from LASD and/or wish to attend the Annual LASD Conference.
Persons who are involved in professions related to pastoral care and have an interest in learning more about the ministry of spiritual direction, who wish to receive communications from LASD, and/or wish to attend the Annual LASD Conference. The amount of dues for Associate Members is the same as that of Active Members.
