Lisa Veron
Biography
Lisa Roussel Veron is currently a member at St. Aloysius Parish in Baton Rouge and a former member of St Joseph Parish in Paulina La. She attended LSU and LSU-SAHP and graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy. She earned her Masters in Education from UNO and graduated from Religious Studies Institute through St. Joseph’s Abbey and has completed coursework in pastoral ministry through Loyola Institute of Ministries. Lisa recently achieved her spiritual direction certification through the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center through Fransican University. She has provided ongoing individual direction for the last two years virtually and face to face and has directed silent directed retreats at the Archdiocese Retreat Center in New Orleans and with individuals per request.
Lisa has served parish ministry in a variety of roles including directing women’s retreats, marriage preparation, Scripture study, Bible sharing groups and children’s religious education. She serves the women and children at St. Agnes homeless center and ministers in the OCIA program currently.
Lisa is the wife of Deacon Johnny Veron and mother to four adult children and 9 grandchildren who reside in the Baton Rouge Diocese. She loves cooking, gardening, family gatherings, quilting, watching women’s soccer and spending time outdoors and in nature.
