Beryl K Hebert
Biography
The Person I Am Becoming
Hi! My name is Beryl Hebert. I have known deeply from a young age that I am God’s beloved child, and the purpose of my life is to do something beautiful for this God who loves me.
I was born September 26, 1953 in Mobile, AL and grew up in Kaplan, LA, the oldest of eight children. Michael and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary August 16th. We are parents to Michelle Desiree’ Hebert, adopted at 4 months old; recently engaged, and planning a wedding in March, 2026.
I am a teacher by training and profession, primarily focused in special education.
I have a B.A. in Education, major in Special Education, McNeese State University (1971); M.Ed. in Special Education, LSU (1982) and a Masters in Pastoral Studies, Loyola (2008).
My church ministries have included catechesis in both parish religious education and RCIA/OCIA.
I attended Loyola Institute of Ministry Extension Program (2004-2008); the Center for Action and Contemplation Living School (2018-2020); and completed the Archdiocesan Spiritual Direction Internship program in May 2024, commissioned on August 1, 2024.
May the hands of the Master Potter continue to form and shape me in this beautiful new ministry!
